AMY FERN – FOUNDER
I initially founded Blue Butterfly Event Management in 2006 with the sole aim of organising events which would not only benefit those who take part but would also help charities raise much needed funds.
I have been raising money for various charities for many years and in particular have always been a strong supporter of Naomi House Children’s Hospice which is based in Sutton Scotney. I decided to form Blue Butterfly to make a difference and to help charities as much as I possibly can. Whilst organising an event for Naomi House many years ago someone once told me that a terminally ill child was very much like a butterfly- fragile with a short lifespan. As an avid supporter of childhood charities this was something which I could not forget and this was the original idea behind the name Blue Butterfly.
A professional dancer and singer myself since the age of 6, I have always had a passion for the entertainment industry and have performed in theatres across the South and in London’s beautiful theatres for many years. In 2014 I formed Blue Butterfly’s very own event dancers called The Butterflies. I am so proud of each and everyone of them as they have worked so hard to become a well established and thoroughly professional act.
Following this in February 2015, I started 2 fun dance classes mainly for my 3 daughters who love their dancing too. My ethos- let the children have fun! A child learns better when they are in a fun and enjoyable environment. Also allow the parents to go with what their children want to do! All our classes are pay as you go which aren’t expensive and parents get to stay too! Little did I know then that 2 classes would turn into 26 classes in less than 2 years! And that I would have such an amazing team alongside me, helping me deliver fun classes to little ones and adults! Blue Butterfly’s wings are spreading and we now teach in 7 local schools as well as classes locally
The Blue Butterfly name was also used for the dance company as it perfectly describes every child involved in our classes…….

LUKE WILLETT – DESIGN & PRINT
Lukes flair for design has made the brand of blue butterfly look the way that it is today! Amy had a very clear idea of how she would like the blue butterfly logo to look and Luke took it that step further with his unique design. Luke designs our flyers, logos and organises all the print for our events. His ideas are fantastic and we would be lost without him!
